Hiyas!
Well after a 4 month hiatus, I'm back playing part time. I'm on normally between 7pm and 11:30pm EST some times later.
Let's see, my favorite Battle type is TD & TD 3v3. I'm a pop sniper, and TD brawler (weird how that works out). I love city maps, and hilly maps with nice little indents to crouch down in. Many of you know me, and some know of me, or what others have said about me.
Most have a set thought about the type of person I am, until they get on TS or Ventrilo with me, because of what used to go on in the forums. I have a few fan boys out there like Evonet, Teirloc, and DoubleL (or did for a while) but all that is behind all of us I'd like to think, and don't do forum flame wars no more. Life is more important then that, heck MW4 is more important then that garbage, so I hardly post anymore on the forums.
Well I gotta head to work, but figured I would come post my interest to join!

Ok, so now I'm at work and on my lunch break, so I got a couple minutes to kill here before I continue doing paperwork etc. Also this being the ONLY forum so far I can get to load on the military internet, this can be a good thing :p
So where was I... ah yes the drama. So I will start at the begining and speed through it.
My very first Mechwarrior game was MechCommander. I played on MPlayer.com and was a top 20 player in StarLance and The Cobra League. As I was waiting for MechCommander 2 to come out in like 1998-99, I seen MechWarrior 4 at Media Play on the shelf and decided to pick it up and try it out.
In TCL and SL I was on a team called Clan Fire Mandrils, and so it was only natural for me to hop on the MSN Gaming Zone without having played single player at all, and try the game out. I tried mouse and key board and sucked so I went and got me a joystick. I sucked eve worse so I went and got me a gamepad, and because it was built like a PlayStation controller on steroids Thrustmaster Dual Analog Firestorm Pro http://www.thrustmaster.com I rawked!! lol I went into open games and was doing pretty good for a guy that never played a Mw Simulation type game before.
So a couple guys named FM_Hardcase & FM_Honest wanted to recruit me, and with me being in a totally different FM in another league in MechCommander, it was only natural for me to want to join them as well. Clan Fire Mandrils was in VL and was the #1 team for the first 3 cycles. They trained me in their Clanner ways and lore, and was a good team at beating weak opponents. We played sooooo much, it didn't matter how many games the other teams won, we played 300% more then all other teams therefor we dominated the ladders with only like a 50% win ratio.
Other teams out there didn't like how someone not as good as them could really be #1 in a league of over 100+ teams just based on the shere volume of matches we played. This rubbed some the wrong way, and automatically set us up as public enemy #1.
So I being more of an individual compared to Clan lore / unit type / unit function/ started to venture out and play some of the best guys in VL 1 vs 1, and actually would win.... ALOT. Therefor I was able to get other FM's into team matches against top talent wise units and we would get slaughtered, or eek out a victory here and there. Our Khan became furious over this, because he felt I was leading team mebers to doom, and giving other teams the oppertunity to make good points off of beating us because we were the #1 team.
So he threatened me, and banned our unit from playing certain "unbeatable teams" and I refused and left. I was also VERY out spoken back during those days, and if I had a gripe or complaint I let it be known regardless of whether it was on the battlefield, the forums, MSN Zone chat, whatever. So I developed a reputation for being a whiner, yet years later it had become well known that many WERE using hacks and bugs to win games, but at the time they swore "didn't exsist".
Over time, and during my prime, I became one of the top pilots around VL. Even so called "elite" teams would leave a game room if I joined the room. They wouldn't allow me to play, and needless to say allow me to host that game on a nice cable connection.
So fast forward a few years later, I left and joined the Army. I came back after about a year and a half, and jumped from a couple units here and there, and started a unit or two along the way. I was 3rd in charge of a unit called Wolf Dragoons aka WDx in MWA. We merc'd for Clan WidowMaker, and vice versa and was a top unit for MWA. When I seen VL dying and the MSN Gaming Zone was going to close, WarPig asked me to come join WMx in MWL.
So I joined WMx and was there for a year, until me and Warpig had a falling out. I started Iron Retribution with a couple players that either left or were kicked out of WMx, and later closed it and started †Legacy† in which I ran for over a year.
During all this time, my fanboys from the begining had sooner or later became my friends, and when I became a Forum rule lawyering Admin (No offense Barbs, that was just my job as a Ops Admin) my fanboys came out of the wood work to ensure that I wouldn't have that position long. Sure I wasnt perfect, and yea I was a little hard on some things, but at the time it was what I felt was hired to do, being a active military person "Clean up the forums".
I have since long gotten over all that, but my fanboys have not. No matter what I say or do, they will not stop at any cost, just to get "One up" over me. But I really just dont care, seriously. I am so over all that drama, and flaming stuff its retarded.
I've taken this loooooong needed 4 month break from MW4, started this new job / role in the Army, and just don't have the care or time for it. Now I just want to show up, have fun, hang out and play, before I head over to the big sandbox.
So thats my story, sorry so long, but we're talking about a 9 year history, and I left out atleast 75% of it just to give you a breather :p

So a little more about me
First Name: Nate
Age: 28
Married
2 Daughters, ages 5 and 3
Columbus, OHIO
U.S.Army Special Ops
Big Football fan, Go Buckeyes! Go Browns! Go Cavs! Go Indians! Go Blue Jackets! Go Crew!
Callsign: OnLashoc, Original was Resarector in MechCommander, then switched to OnLashoc when I started playing MW4. I switched several times, but always returned to this one. I've always kept my identity open, and even under different names I've always been called Onnie.
I've played MW4 for what like almost 9 years now.
I've started and ran 4 units in my career. I merged 2 with other units, and took 2 to the Top of the League for the most part in different leagues.
I've been in maybe 8-10 teams during that time. A couple times I left of my own free will just because it was time for a change. A couple times I left because the unit died due to lack of activity. And a couple times we merged with other units. So for the most part I'm a pretty loyal guy, and usually when I find a group I like, I'm there for years. The longest I've been in a unit has been 2 years, but most I'm there between 1 year 1 years & a half. It's not to say I couldn't go longer, it's just neve happend to go longer then 2 years simpley cause so much can change in that time frame.
I'm a meatshield type of guy. I draw fire from the enemy and I play aggressive. I'm used to having to fight 2 on 1, and always look for ways to out flank the flanker to give my teammates the best oppertunity possible to succeed against a misdirected enemy.
I can pilot any mech but I prefer in no particular order:
Behemoth
Behemoth II
Marader II
Marader
Black Knight
Wildcat
Tenchi
Shadowcat
Cyclops
Kodiak
Highlander
MC Mark II
Panther
Hunchback IIC
Finally, someone says something here. God that was a long silence.
Had fun tonight man.
I'll give alittle run down on my history. I started playing MW with MW2 on a friend's(Fear Me) computer. Never played it online, but played for hours playing single player. Well his girlfriend's mom sprayed the computer with the garden hose(don't ask) and that pretty much ended me playing MW for a long while.(that I believe was in 95).
Fast foward about 4-5 years(however long it was) and I got my first computer(celeron 566 mhz cpu, 32 mb ram, 8 mb gfx card[ati rage]). I thought to myself "hell, lets go to the computer store and see if there are any mech games out". Just happened to be the day MW4 Vengence was released. Only problem was my computer wasn't good enough to play MW4, so I bought MW3 and played that for about 6 months until I learned how to and saved enough money to upgrade my computer's ram and gfx.
When I did finally start playing MW4, I played on the ingame server browser and played in the mechbay servers. The unit The Lost Souls was pretty much the home team in that server(they didnt run it, they were just there all the time) and so I learned to play against them. JM and I both tried to join the Souls, but were turned down at the time.
Just Me and I then started a group of friends called The Me's. The only condition about being a Me is that JM or I had to know you in real life. There has been like 12 or so Me's(I was Bite Me). There are several people from the Me's still playing, but alot have stopped.
JM and I started playing Winter War alot(it's a map in MW4 with control points to attack or defend). Well the unit 1TAG was running the server for WW so we ended up playing with them alot(I'm the one and only person I've seen actually make Deathpaw whine. ). Well 1TAG had a internal explosion and most the members of 1TAG left and formed the unit Steel Dragons. That was the start of my league career. We played with SD for while on TWL until TWL stopped supporting MW and sifted over to MWL.
I ended up leaving SD because of a conflict of interest with eFx and his son Trigger Happy. Once the Souls found out JM and I weren't in SD anymore, we were invited to join up. I played with TLS and was the main unit lead for them for acouple years until we just didn't have the active pilots to maintain anymore, and since most the people that left the Souls went to DR, it was only natural to approach DR about a merger, which happened.
I've been in DR now for hell, atleast 5 years. I've rebuilt this unit twice, and might aswell say we're kinda rebuilding now. The first rebuild was about 6 months after I joined up, there was a hugh internal arguement going on involving a 17 year old that took charge of the unit(basically because someone did need to do it at the time). Well alot of people didn't like being told what to do by a teenager and the way he was saying to do it. DR was reduced to 5 pilots, 3 of which were inactive and came back to save DR(Marshal, Darkstar, and Cthulu). Myself and Shin were the other 2 active. It was either do something or watch DR die, so I started recruiting hard and rebuilt DR. In a years time, the unit went from not knowing if it was gonna survive another week to number 1 on TD and Brawler(both taken from Old School) and number 2 on 3v3tb. I've never been one to unit hope, but I'll be honest, I've thought of leaving DR and go play with other units. But I've got so much work into rebuilding DR, I just can't bring myself to leave. I'll be here aslong as DR is active.
On a personal level, I'm 37 years old, never married, no kids, work residential construction(framing mostly) and live in S.eastern VA. I'm a Desert Storm Navy Vet, but never actually went to the middle east(I was stationed on a carrier in drydock, oh well, I tried to do my part). I'm more of a NASCAR fan myself, mostly cause my team isn't doing so hot(go 49'ers ) _________________
